And because ours is pure European Production, with our specialized staff at the center, in an operating environment according to the highest standards.
No exploited labour: No Far East, No India, No Vietnam, etc.
Today, the Company has two production plants, one in Northern Italy and one in Romania specialized in the production of handmade shopping bags. With its 45,000 square meter surface area in Italy, it has a production capacity of more than 220 million bags per year, distributed worldwide. The new EU regulation against deforestation will soon come into force, which will make extra-EU imports more complex and expensive.
Choosing Taffarello today means stability, assurance in lead-time and in transport, without the typical problems of importing from the Far East such as currency fluctuations, unheeded complaints, unforeseen events, bureaucracy, customs and hidden costs.
All this leads to a result that only we can guarantee: a non-compliance rate of 0.6%.
Innovation in Product and Process
Innovate to grow
We have always wanted to be innovators in our sector. This is why we constantly invest in experimenting with new printing techniques and original materials that lead to innovative products. Some examples? Our solutions in the use of recycled papers, unusual laminations, embossing and one-of-a-kind handles. But also the modifications made to our machines, for example, in the gluing phase, to ensure resistance and durability.
We have created Ecodry, a treatment that protects the paper without the use of plastic, and a very cost-effective paper embossing system.
We have invented PAPER LAM, another revolutionary treatment that allows for a more resistant and bright bag, which can also be entirely recycled exactly like normal paper (after removing the handles if they are made of special materials).
We have colour tone variation tolerances lower than the market-accepted average thanks to new-generation technologies.
All this leads to a result that only we can guarantee: a non-compliance rate of 0.6%.

The Shopping Bag is today one of the most important and effective communication tools available. In an increasingly digitalized market, this emblem of traditional commerce is personalized, having become over the years the symbol of shopping, of quality purchasing and of retail sales. Indeed, Customers identify the packaging as an integral part of the product and as a distinctive element of the chosen Brand. Of all the packaging produced, however, the Shopping Bag is the only element that resists over time, continuing its life in the homes of customers, and reused time and time again.
At Taffarello we follow certifications with concrete actions, which directly determine the creation of our products. We believe that every single Bag built truly contributes ethically to the creation of a better world.
1) PAPER LAM
In terms of recycling, this is the first shopping bag that, despite the lamination, is considered exactly like paper, thanks to a special process that has passed the test of the level of recyclability, according to Aticelca MC 501:2017 Level B.
2) “GREEN” HANDLES
Corde e fettucce certificate GRS Global Recycled Standard realizzate in poliestere riciclato. Inoltre siamo tra i pochi produttori che propongono corde e fettucce in carta per le buste manuali, prodotte interamente con filo di carta, completamente riciclabili e certificate FSC®.
3) INCHIOSTRI AD ACQUA
Lavoriamo solo con inchiostri a base d’acqua e nella nostra produzione non viene utilizzato nessun tipo di solvente, a beneficio sia dell’ambiente naturale che quello di lavoro.
4) WASTE RECOVERY
Our main production waste material consists indeed of paper, which is pressed, baled and supplied to paper mills for the production of recycled paper: a perfect example of circular economy.
