An informed choice
Taffarello was one of the first companies in our sector to obtain FSC® certification, a standard that is also a commitment that is renewed every year. This reflects our commitment to responsible sourcing and conscious choices in the design and creation of our products, with the utmost care evident in every detail.
Specific measures for our materials
Taffarello was one of the first manufacturers of shopping bags to switch from plastic to paper. In doing so, we have made a conscious decision to use natural raw materials in order to reduce the use of plastics and increase the recyclability of our products.
Over the years, we have further expanded our commitment to environmental protection by specialising in the processing of recycled paper. In doing so, we work specifically with suppliers who can guarantee a controlled and fully traceable supply chain.
Particularly noteworthy is our development of PaperLam, a special lamination process that preserves the material’s recyclability. This means that the end product can be recycled in the same way as untreated paper.
Details that matter
In our production processes, we use only water-based inks and avoid solvents entirely. This enables us to reduce emissions from our manufacturing operations and improve working conditions. In addition, we run a systematic programme for the recovery and recycling of production waste in order to continuously improve resource efficiency within our operations. For us, compliance with and the further development of environmental standards is not a cost factor, but an integral part of our long-term corporate strategy and our responsibility towards the region in which we are based.
